You Are Here

Hello Little One,

Today is July 23rd, 2019 and I have known of your existence since July 18th, 2019. Your father and I planned you and we tried for five months to conceive you. One day, I had an inkling something was amiss, so I took a home test and lo and behold, the universe had sent me you! You should have seen your father's face. He was more shocked than excited, but he's since gotten his demeanor under control, because I would not have it any other way. You are oh so tiny now, about the size of a watermelon seed, but I can feel you as if you were bigger. You are already making your presence known, what with all the cramps, gas, sore breasts, back aches, and frequent visits to the bathroom. I know these sound like the complaints of a woman who is much further along, but it's true that I'm feeling all this ALREADY. I'm not blaming you, nor am I angry, because I know you will be so worth it; I would hurt a thousand times for you, darling. I'm not sure how many weeks old you are yet, my love, but I am going to see the doctor soon and they will tell me your exact "age." The doctor is a lovely older Indian woman is very kind and gentle; I think you would like her. The world needs more kindness and soft hands.

I already have such high hopes and dreams you; I want you to be happy, smart, and healthy...and I want you to look like your father because he is so handsome. Wait until you meet him! I know that you two will fall for each other immediately. Lastly, I apologize in advance if my swimming knocks you around a bit later, it's the only exercise mommy enjoys! I also apologize for all the spicy food I eat, but something tells me you'll come to like it as much as I do. Good night, my love.
